COVID 19 Prevention Policy


The purpose and intent of this policy to ensure that all people, workplaces, implements and equipment of Emergence Gourmet Services Pvt. Ltd. (“EGS) including storage spaces, production spaces, kitchens, work-surfaces, Point of Sale spaces, tools and equipment used and deployed in producing and packing products branded under the name and style of etna® or any other brand name and style are consistently sanitized against and kept free of Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID 19 disease.

We have made fully sure through briefings, training, testing and displays that this policy and its associated Universal and General Practices and Specific to Role/Function Protocols are fully understood and followed by all employees or contractors, service partners and directors whether full time or part time (WORKFORCE) at EGS and that they are aware they are fully accountable and responsible for following the practices and protocols for prevention and spread of Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID 19 disease.

To facilitate and enable all the WORKFORCE to honour this policy, EGS has added and made mandatory the following practices into the standard hygiene and decontamination or contamination prevention policies and protocols for all workplaces and premises of EGS. The practices so incorporated are consistent with World Health Organization recommendations.

UNIVERSAL AND GENERAL PRACTICES:

All employees or contractors, service partners and directors who arrive at a workplace for a full day or part of the day for any business/work are to follow the below general practices.

Start of day/shift, prior to sign-in, go through the basic screening:
    • Temperature check
    • Reporting of any physical discomfort.
  • DO NOT wear the same set of clothes/uniform/apron/chef’s coat more than once. The same set may be used next time after a complete machine wash at home or at a professional laundry service. All employees requiring a uniform, or the use of an apron/chef’s coat will be provided with two additional sets.
  • Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds frequently.
  • Always wear a Face Mask.
  • Keep a distance of at least 6 ft from each other.
  • Clean/Sanitize your workstation and work surfaces at least twice a day using On-Station Surface Sanitizer. This includes your keyboard, mouse and barcode scanner handle/grip.
  • When sneezing or coughing, turn away from anyone who may be in front of you and sneeze or cough into your elbow, or a tissue or a handkerchief.
  • Dispose of any used tissue in the Dispose-Off bin immediately.
End of day/shift, prior to sign-out
  • Go through the basic screening:
    • Temperature check
    • Reporting of any physical discomfort.
